A Nose for Trouble – Part 1

  • NB: Well you all wanted to know what I have been working on, so here is part one of “A Nose for Trouble!” this story is VERY long so its in two parts and I will put part 2 up tomorrow!!!

I hope Helen (Queen Helen of Fort Goat) doesn’t mind her Sheila Puppy being in another story! Hehehe, she told me Sheila Puppy loves to roam, and this is what I imagine happening on the days she manages to go on a long walk to places shes not suppose to go. I bet she gets into all kinds of trouble!

Please leave comments or point out any mistakes you notice in the Grammar, I never read my work after I write it so having people spot the errors helps! Hope everyone enjoys it!!!!

    A Nose for Trouble

It began as many things often do
With the sniffle of a nose
    And a twitch or two!
As a very hungry Sheila Puppy
With a dragon in her belly
Held her tummy with her paws,
    As it rumbled so loudly.

    “I need a snack”
    She said rather grumpy,
    As thats how you feel
    When you are usually hungry,
    “And… according to my nose!”
    It continued on slow,
    “In that direction…
Is the most delicious snack of them all!”

    And then it began,
    A journey, A quest…
    No… A Mission!!
To eat the most ultimate snack!
    Of course to a Puppy,
    Every Snack is the best
    But the most delicious one,
Is the one the nose sniffs first.

    She followed her nose
    Through a field,
    Past some trees,
    And stumbled upon a Cabin
Where the smell was drifting strongly.

    “It must be in there,
    But I know this place
    Thats where the witch lives…
But that smell is so delicious…”

    The puppy raised her head,
Just a bit up in front of a window
    While making thinking noises
    “Hmmm” and “hummm”
    She looked about quietly
    Hoping not to be noticed.

    What she saw
    Made her slobber,
    In-case you didn’t know…
    Puppies are rather…
    Experts at slobbering

She saw not one apple pie,
    Not two or three,
She saw a whole table of pies!
    And a sausage or three,
    She tilted her head,
    And she began to think,
    Such a delicious Snack…
    Just right for me…

    Looking down
She held her belly and said,
    “Don’t worry
    “You won’t be grumbling,
    Not for long…
    I have a found something…
    That will cure your rumbling
    Once and for all!!”

She sneaked her way over to the wooden door
But just as she was about to enter,
    She heard a voice

    “hahaha,
    My feast is almost done!
    All I need now.
    Is some puppy fur!
    And I’m done.”

    The Puppy stopped…
    And did a gulp,
This witch must be making a potion
    She thought…
    And if she finds me…
    I WILL BE LUNCH!

So she hid by the wooden door
    Behind some old shoes
    And made some thought noises,
On how to get the food,
With a “Hmmm” and a “Humm”
She tapped her head with her paw
    and somewhere in the thinking
    Her plan began to grow.

    She shook off some fur
    Which wasn’t very hard…
Puppies tend to have a lot to spare you know!
    And she made a trail
From the wooden door into the field.
    A trail of Fur!
Since she knew the witch needed it!

    Then heading back!
    Back to the wooden door,
She then stretched out her paw!
And began to tap it three times or four
    ‘Knock, Knock, Knock’
    Knock, Knock, Knock, Knock’
    Then quickly she jumped!,
And hid behind the shoes once more!

    She waited,
To see if her plan would work!
    She was rather nervous..
Taking a big breath and not making a sound at all.
