-
NB: this is part 2 of A Nose for Trouble! I hope you all enjoy it!
Please leave comments or point out any mistakes you notice in the Grammar, I never read my work after I write it so having people spot the errors helps! Hope everyone enjoys it!!!!
The witch quietly pushed the door open,
And saying rather grumpily,
“I don’t get visitors… not anyone at all
Us witches don’t like people,
We like spells and potions!â€And poking out her head
It went to the Left,
And then to the right,
It looked and looked
Everywhere about! And the witch noticed the fur,
Just laying on the ground.
Not spotting Sheila Puppy at all
And her eyes went very wide,
As she said rather excited
“THATS JUST WHAT I NEEDED!â€
And began to pick it up,
One piece at a time. And as she began,
To slowly pick up the fur,
Walking further and further away,
Gathering each bit,
She went deeper in the field
Till she could no longer be seen.Sheila Puppy with a smile
The biggest she had ever had.
Popped out from behind the shoes
And made her way into the cabin!Sheila Puppy was confronted
By food of many sorts!
Not just the table of pies
Or a few sausages
That she had seen from the window! There were cakes,
There were chocolates
And to many other things to mention!
Sheila Puppy drooled!
But didn’t have time to try everything,
For it wouldn’t be long until the witch returned
She had to think fast,
If she wanted the snacks so delicious!Sheila Puppy looked about
And spotted a sack
She began to pile all the food in it!
Until there was nothing in the cabin left
Except the cooking pot
That the witch wanted puppy fur for!Sheila Puppy then grabbed the sack
With her mouth she grabbed it tight,
Puppies are very good at pulling things you know!
And with a very big
Grrrrrrrrr
She dragged it outside,
And pulling it to a tree,
She hid with it behind it!The witch then returned,
With all the fur in her hands
She was smiling
…
That was until she entered the Cabin.“MY FOOD IS ALL GONE!!!!!â€
She said rather shocked,
Then continued on,
As she looked around.
“Where could it have gone to…
This makes no sense all!
At least my Puppy Fur Stew is still cooking,
Thats my favorite of all.†(EWWwwww)So although she was grumpy
That she had lost her things delicious,
She did get the last ingredient
For the meal she wanted most!
So the witch with a sigh
Began to go back to her cooking
Forever wondering what happened
To all her things delicious. And Sheila Puppy
Who was hiding behind a tree
Let out a smile,
And put her head in the sack of delicious things! She ate a Pie or two,
And then a Sausage or three,
She thought to herself
I should share these things. So she dragged the sack
All the way through the field
Past some trees
And back to her home so wonderful!
For where she was from
Was called Fort Goat,
And she dragged the sack
All the way to its ruler Queen Helen. She opened the sack
And showed Queen Helen,
Who looked rather confused
Saying to proud Sheila Puppy
“Where did you get this food!â€
Rather concerned.Sheila Puppy then told Queen Helen
Of the wonderful adventure
The started with a sniffle of a nose
And twitch or two,
Then followed by a dragon in her tummy
That rumbled so loudly.Queen Helen listened
And shook her head
“Sheila Puppy…
Taking things is bad!!!â€So Queen Helen,
With the help of some goats
That was Prince Epic, Possibly a Moose… Of course.
Carried the sack, full of delicious things,
Back to the witch
And they knocked on her door. But they didn’t stay around,
Not to say sorry,
Instead they left a note….
After all…
Witches don’t like visitors! They then all rushed back,
Through the field and past some trees!
All the way to Fort Goat,
To have a meal not stolen! And Sheila Puppy learned her lesson
From all that had happened,
Don’t tell Queen Helen,
When you take snacks from others!Well not really,
That would be the lesson
She would have wanted to learn
The real lessons she learned were much more in number.Don’t follow your nose
Or think with your belly,
Don’t take whats not yours
You should always ask nicelyEven if that creature,
Or person is a scary witch!Doesn’t mean you should take what you want
For they might need it.Then as Sheila Puppy,
Curled up to sleep that night…
Her nose made a sniffle
Then it twitched twice!
The very hungry puppy
With a dragon in her belly,
Held her tummy with her paws
As it rumbled so loudly…
And you could tell
That soon there would be trouble
Or at least another adventure
As thats usually how they started.

Sorry to say Matty I found one mistake – a slip of the keyboard. ‘expect ‘ the cooking pot should be except. Loved the story tho I reckon my 4 year old grand son could well enjoy your stories too, if I get a chance to read him some. His younger brother doesn’t sit still forthat long most of the time, so it will be a special time for Sam & Me.
THANKS !!! I fixed it now! Don’t be sorry, if no one told me there was a mistake, I wouldn’t notice them! I never read my stuff myself, unless someone else reads it to me.
This one is a very long fairy tale kind of story 🙂 Not like some of my shorter stories 🙂 I hope he likes it, maybe you can tell me so later!
Great story Matty.
I love the way you always incorporate a lesson to be learned in your stories
